Thesis: Chicanos reveal a long standing interest in masculinity.

T.S1:   Chicanos’ world is law and demands strict obedience, not only from the wife, but from their children as well.
S1: His machismo is an expression of power and control over the world.
S2: Patriarchal ideology was reflected in Chicano’s family (father “head” of the family or as the “boss”).

T.S2: Chicano’s exaggerated male behavior creates an inadequate masculinity identity.
S1: He is obsessed with the need to prove his manhood (drinking, fighting, and/or extramarital conquests).
S2: Chicano is dominant over his woman and control economic resources.

T.S3: The social and cultural conditions affect in Chicanos’ family.
S1: Female subordination and male dominance.
S2: Male’s participation and freedom in public activities do not have limits.

S1: In both articles, Black man went excluded from participation social and their voice historically was silenced.
S2: Black men also have the need for understanding society conditions.
T.S2: Asian men were excluded from Eurocentric notion of the masculinity, and Chicanos were excluded from the participation in the dominant society’s, political-economic system.
